christel & justin – OpLove

We knew from the time that Christel got out of her car and Adrienne said, and I quote, “Sweet!  She looks AWESOME!” that their shoot was going to be a good one.  We were thankful to have gorgeous weather (which was definitely NOT the case for the rest of the weekend) and had a great time laughing with and getting to know this amazing couple.  Justin is in the Army and will be deploying for Afghanistan in a few weeks, so we were thrilled to be able to set up a time to meet with them in downtown Kingsport to photograph their session for Operation: Love Reunited.

Justin and Christel, thank you so much for the sacrifices you make for our country, we are truly grateful.

Operation Love: ReUnited

Adrienne and I are both from Navy families, so we were thrilled when we came across the organization Operation: Love ReUnited.  We’d been looking for a while for something to “give back” to, and OpLove is perfect for us.  OpLove pairs professional photographers with familes who have loved ones going overseas or already overseas.  We provide a complimentary portrait session and a small album of images and a discount on all other products.  In return, we get to sleep peacefully at night, knowing that there are brave men and women fighting overseas for our safety and well-being.

For the sake of privacy for these families, I’m leaving names out of this post.  Except for Smudge, you can know his name… he’s the Boston Terrier that Wilson got to play with after he was done workin’ it for the camera. =)

Here are a few images from our last couple OpLove sessions.

Thank you to all of our OpLove familes, and military familes around the world, for the sacrifices you make in order to keep us safe.

Now go hug a veteran.
