We’re Still Alive | Nashville Portrait Photographers

So it’s been a couple of weeks since I posted something and I figured I should let you know what we’ve been up to!

Near the beginning of February, we photographed some headshots and casual photos for Justin.

Then we photographed some new album artwork for Sean McConnell.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day by photographing a couple of High School Seniors in East Tennessee.

Here’s Clayton:

And here’s Lacy:

Then a little more album artwork, this time for country artist Charlie Montague:

Then, on my way to a workshop in Northern Virginia, I stopped in East Tennessee again to photograph one of our absolute favorite families, the Curtis’s!

Here’s Avery, being absolutely adorable:

While I was in Virginia, Adrienne had Cohen and Brynn’s family over for an Image Premiere!

Here’s a page out of their baby album:

And that’s what we’ve been up to!  I learned a ton of new info at the workshop I attended and can’t wait to start putting it into practice!  Hope you enjoyed the little recap of what’s been going on for us lately, I’ll show you more photos as I get through them all!

Almost the weekend!

Nashville Portrait Photographers | Nate & Kelly Bailey

With all of this snow lately, we were just dying to get out and shoot a session in it!  Thankfully, Nate & Kelly, who live right around the corner from us (and are amazing business-people and artists in their own right) were up for a bit of an adventure!  We braved the icy roads and shot in one of our favorite little hidden spots in Nolensville.  I absolutely LOVE what we came away with and I am so happy that we took the chance and went out!  I couldn’t stop smiling while editing their photos, their outgoing, fun-loving personalities are contagious and their love for each other is written all over their faces! (Note: If you don’t see a video below, just refresh the page and it should load).

The way back up the hill into our neighborhood was interesting, to say the least.  After a failed attempt to make it up the hill at the main entrance to our neighborhood, we took a back way in and had to try twice to get up the hills that way.  The neighborhood’s a huge mess and it doesn’t look like it’s going to clear up anytime soon.  But, the bright side is that we’ll be going out sledding with Nate, Kelly and Kristen Steele again tomorrow (well, today, I guess… that’s what I get for writing these posts at 1am).

Hope you’re all having a great weekend! Oh, and while you’re at it, check out Kelly’s amazing artwork!

I’d love to stay and chat, but we’ve got a looong drive ahead of us today.  In fact, by the time this posts, we should hopefully be somewhere near Northern Virginia, preferably not stuck in a snow bank.

Take a second and leave a comment.  The canned good that we’ll donate on your behalf will be a blessing to a family in need this holiday season.

All the best to you and yours,

Christel – Nashville Portrait Photography

We first met Christel and her husband, Justin, when they asked us to photograph them in East Tennessee before Justin had to deploy overseas. We immediately clicked with this couple and just love their fun, outgoing personalities and absolutely hilarious senses of humor. Needless to say, we jumped at the chance to photograph Christel again, this time as a surprise for her to send over to Justin. She came out to visit a few weeks ago and we spent a good portion of the day running around Nolensville, Brentwood and Nashville getting fun, flirty, sexy and just plain awesome images of Christel. Here are a few from the day, minus the more risqué photos that are for Justin’s eyes only!

On a different note, you may notice that our watermarks have been a bit spastic lately.  I’ve been trying to find a watermark that both served it’s purpose as a watermark but was unobtrusive at the same time, and I think I’ve finally found it!  I’m loving this ampersand/URL thing combined with the rounded corner photos.  As you can see, I’m still experimenting with how subtle/noticeable I want it to be on the photos.  What do you think?

Sara E – Nashville Portrait Photographers

Sara and I met when we were both in the Recording Industry Management program at MTSU and we’ve kept in touch since both graduating and moving on to other things, me to photography and her to law school.  We got to hang out with her for a few hours today while shooting a portrait session for her around our place in Brentwood and Nolensville.  We had a great time and got some really incredible images thanks in part to Amy Lynn Larwig’s job with makeup and styling and thanks in whole to Sara who is just absolutely stunning (maybe that’s thanks to her parents though, I guess).

One of my favorite shots  from today

and one of Adrienne’s favorite shots from today

We’ll be posting a few more from Sara’s session in just a few weeks, so check back every now and then!  Sara, thanks for coming out and laughing at most, some, one or two of my jokes!
