Mario Luis & Andrea Ramirez – Nashville Wedding Photographers

Andrea & Mario Luis had an absolutely beautiful wedding at Christ Church Cathedral and reception at the Union Station Hotel in Nashville last Saturday and we were thrilled to be a part of it!  I’ll tell you all about it in a couple of weeks when I write up the full post, but here are a few images to hold you over until then!

I don’t normally post detail shots in these teaser posts, but I just loved this shot of the detail on Andrea’s dress!

The light that was coming into Christ Church Cathedral before the ceremony was AMAZING!

Jerry & Mindy – Nashville Engagement Session

Ok, first of all, how have I lived in the Nashville area for more than 4 years and never known that there’s a park with a giant mosaic dragon in it?  Seriously, how did that happen?

Secondly, Mindy and Jerry are awesome.  They found us on the internets and I finally had a chance to meet them while photographing their engagement session on Monday at Dragon Park and a bit in downtown Nashville.  I’m always a bit nervous when we head out to photograph someone we’ve never met, but there was no need to be in Mindy and Jerry’s case, they laughed at my dumb jokes and weren’t too offended by my sense of humor, so we were good to go.  =)  Here are a couple of images from their session.

Guess what!  It’s Friday and we don’t have a wedding tomorrow!  Gasp!  Looks like we’ll have a whole weekend off to catch up on editing!

Holley & Caleb – Nashville Engagement Session

I really can’t say enough nice things about Holley & Caleb, they’re two incredibly funny, kind and easygoing people who we just love being around.  Caleb is Megan Hester’s brother, whose Hendersonville wedding we photographed back in June.  In fact, now that I think about it, at Megan and Jon’s wedding Caleb caught the garter and Holley caught the bouquet!  Anyway, back to Caleb and Holley… they’re two incredible people and we’re thrilled to be photographing their wedding next June.  For their engagement session, we started at Lipscomb University, where they’re both in their senior year, then we headed to the church camp they used to go to every year as kids.  We loooooved shooting at the camp, it’s absolutely gorgeous and we plan to hopefully shoot there again soon!  So, here are a few from their session, including one of Caleb as a tree.

We haven’t had any shoots since Monday and I can’t tell you how productive I’ve been feeling now that I’ve had time to sit down and tackle the mountain of editing that’s been piling up lately!  Expect a couple more blog posts in the next day or two!

Almost the weekend!

Chris & Adrienne Scott, Photographers featured in The Tennessean

There was a fantastic writeup on Keith & Freya Potempa’s wedding in the Weddings section of today’s edition of The Tennessean, which featured two of our images from their October wedding.  It’s a great article about a really fascinating couple, you should head over to the online version and check it out!  If you get the Sunday paper, check it out in print on page 5D!

I can’t wait to show you all some images from Andrea and Mario Luis’ wedding and Holley and Caleb’s engagement session that we photographed this weekend!

Yael & Evan – Franklin Engagement Photography

Adrienne’s been working her way through a nasty cold the last few days and unfortunately missed out on all of the fun Yael, Evan and I had during their engagement session yesterday in Franklin, Tennessee (she’s feeling a lot better now, by the way).  We wandered around Pinkerton Park for a little while, then went into downtown Franklin to wrap things up.  Yael and Evan are such a fun, lively couple, with smiles that can light up a room.  They’re always laughing and picking on each other, which made for some really fun photos and, more importantly, images that I really feel capture their personalities and their love for one another.

I can’t wait for their wedding next April, which will be our first Jewish wedding (yay!) and another chance to get to work with Kristin of Simply Stunning Events!

By the way, next time you see me, ask me to tell you the knock-knock joke I learned from Yael & Evan… I know, sounds lame, but it’s awesome. =)
