Honeymoon, Part Two!

A ton more from the honeymoon!  Most of these are just from around the ship, but a couple deserve some explanation.

The shots of the Coast Guard helicopter were taken when they had to do an emergency landing on the front of our ship to get someone to a hospital in the states.  No clue what happened, but we heard lots of rumors.  The towel dog was on our bed on the first day of the cruise, with Adrienne’s sunglasses on there.  We named him Wilson… in fact, we named all of the towel animals over the course of the week Wilson, even the monkey.  The last two shots are of a couple of friends we met while on the cruise (also honeymooners… but not together…), Brad and Phil, taking a shot at the Flow Rider, the onboard surfing and bodyboarding simulator.  I didn’t try it because my pants would have come off.  The one of the ship is from Adrienne’s iPhone, just hours before she dropped her purse, and it, into the ocean (long story involving her getting “run over” by a jet ski… you’ll have to ask her about it, it’s much more dramatic when she tells the story).  The ship, btw, is the Independence of the Seas and is the largest cruise ship in the world, until next year when The Oasis of the Seas is finished (it’ll have 9,000 people on board, 6,500 passengers and 2,500 crew!).  The super-grainy iPhone shot of Adrienne ice skating is a picture of… Adrienne ice skating, in the middle of the Atlantic.  Very strange.

I’ll have a bunch more to come when we get the film (gasp!  film!) developed from the underwater cameras we took on our ATV/snorkeling adventure on Christmas Day in Cozumel and some shots from Phil & Rachael and Brad & Lisa’s cameras.  Phil and Rachael are from Wales and Brad and Lisa are from the far-off land of Memphis.  We called ourselves The Honeymooner’s, in public, but Phil called us the Mad Shaggers most of the other times.  It sounds a lot cooler when he says it all British-like.  We’re all planning a (5 year?) anniversary cruise and hopefully a trip across the US in 2010 together.  Good people.  Anyway, here are the photos!

Getting back into the swing of things over the next few days.  Busy month ahead with a wedding on the 1st, one on the 3rd, one on the 10th, then a trip out to the DWF convention in Phoenix on the 11th-18th.

Hope you all had a great holiday season!  Leave some love in the comments!

Greetings from Fort Lauderdale!

It’s the first official day of winter… and I’m watching a sailboat go by just outside of our room here at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (actually in Hollywood, FL).  The sun is out, people are in bathing suits, old people are everywhere… yay Florida!  We leave here in a few hours to get on our cruise.

Here are a few photos from this morning – our view from the balcony, some detail-y stuff from around the room and the remnants of our key lime pie and cheesecake we had in our room last night.  I love honeymoons, we should do this every weekend!

Oh!  And our luggage decided to join us this morning, wasn’t that nice of it?  (Side Rant:  Dear Delta, if you insist on charging me for checking bags [side-r rant: charging for checking bags is ridiculous], then you should at least refund that ridiculous charge when you lose said checked bags.  Seriously.  I miss Southwest.  End rant.)

I don’t think we’ll have an (affordable) internet connection while on the ship, so this may be the last post in a little while.  If I get a chance, I hope to write a few posts offline, then post them when I get some internets.

Hope you all have a great week!

chris and adrienne.

PS – If you came here from my twitter post about steamy honeymoon pics, then you’re diiiiirty.  =)

Allee-Sutton and the Hazel Path Mansion

I was lucky enough to be brought in on a shoot for a new wedding venue just north of Nashville, The Hazel Path Mansion, at the last minute.  Got to run around with Wes, of Pursuit Video, and an absolutely gorgeous model, Allee-Sutton, and just go nuts on shooting the new location.  What a beautiful place!  Click on the image below for a slideshow of (quite) a few of my favorites of Allee-Sutton, with a few of the mansion sprinkled in, too.

Photographers, if you get a chance to shoot at the Hazel Path Mansion, jump on it, lots of wonderful places to work with and some pretty amazing light on the porch area.  Keep an eye out for them at January 3rd’s Bridal Show at the Nashville Convention Center and stop by to tell them how amazing their stills are ;-)

Leave some love,

chris.

PS – Yes, as a matter of fact, I do love my job.  =)

An Uncanny Resemblance…

Is it just me, or do I look strikingly similar to Erica Curtis?

Yeah… you’re right, I’m much hotter.

Hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far!
