A ton more from the honeymoon! Most of these are just from around the ship, but a couple deserve some explanation.
The shots of the Coast Guard helicopter were taken when they had to do an emergency landing on the front of our ship to get someone to a hospital in the states. No clue what happened, but we heard lots of rumors. The towel dog was on our bed on the first day of the cruise, with Adrienne’s sunglasses on there. We named him Wilson… in fact, we named all of the towel animals over the course of the week Wilson, even the monkey. The last two shots are of a couple of friends we met while on the cruise (also honeymooners… but not together…), Brad and Phil, taking a shot at the Flow Rider, the onboard surfing and bodyboarding simulator. I didn’t try it because my pants would have come off. The one of the ship is from Adrienne’s iPhone, just hours before she dropped her purse, and it, into the ocean (long story involving her getting “run over” by a jet ski… you’ll have to ask her about it, it’s much more dramatic when she tells the story). The ship, btw, is the Independence of the Seas and is the largest cruise ship in the world, until next year when The Oasis of the Seas is finished (it’ll have 9,000 people on board, 6,500 passengers and 2,500 crew!). The super-grainy iPhone shot of Adrienne ice skating is a picture of… Adrienne ice skating, in the middle of the Atlantic. Very strange.
I’ll have a bunch more to come when we get the film (gasp! film!) developed from the underwater cameras we took on our ATV/snorkeling adventure on Christmas Day in Cozumel and some shots from Phil & Rachael and Brad & Lisa’s cameras. Phil and Rachael are from Wales and Brad and Lisa are from the far-off land of Memphis. We called ourselves The Honeymooner’s, in public, but Phil called us the Mad Shaggers most of the other times. It sounds a lot cooler when he says it all British-like. We’re all planning a (5 year?) anniversary cruise and hopefully a trip across the US in 2010 together. Good people. Anyway, here are the photos!
[gallery size="full" columns="1"]Getting back into the swing of things over the next few days. Busy month ahead with a wedding on the 1st, one on the 3rd, one on the 10th, then a trip out to the DWF convention in Phoenix on the 11th-18th.
Hope you all had a great holiday season! Leave some love in the comments!
chris.
