Chris and Adrienne Scott, Photographers | Nashville Wedding & Portrait Photographers bio picture

well hello there.

Thanks for stopping by, we're glad you came!  We're Nashville portrait and wedding photographers, Chris & Adrienne Scott, a husband and wife photography team.  We live outside of Nashville, Tennessee with our Boston Terrier, Wilson.  Here are a few random facts about us:

- We met while in school at James Madison University, in Virginia
- We tied the knot on December 13, 2008 at Owen Chapel in Brentwood, TN
- We distinctly remember the wedding planning process and don't envy our wedding couples at all
- We were both band geeks in school, Adrienne on oboe and tuba, and Chris on trumpet
- Chris is a terrible dancer, but will make an attempt to bust a move at your reception anyway
- Adrienne talks in her sleep and will sometimes hold entire conversations
- We're both Navy brats although Adrienne spent most of her life in Northern Virginia while Chris has lived in Hawaii, the Philippines, California, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee
- In our free time we like to take Wilson to the dog park and go to the drive-in movies
- We love to laugh, and do so almost non-stop
- We absolutely love what we do and we take our jobs, but not ourselves, very seriously

Happy Birthday Adrienne!

Just a quick Happy Birthday to the best fiancé, friend, business partner and walking/talking light-stand ever! I love you so much, now let’s go get some Melting Pot!

Happy Birthday Miss Issi (this is the last year that you’ll ever hear THAT!),

Hayley – Senior Lifestyle Session – Va Beach, VA

I’ve known Hayley now for around 10 years (which makes me feel SO old!) and have watched her grow up from a beautiful girl into an absolutely GORGEOUS young woman. Add to that the fact that she’s one of the most personable, humble and sincerely nice people I’ve ever met, and you’ve got yourself a winner! Adrienne and I had a great time today hanging out with Hayley and her mom, along with Jenn, who came out to play with us, too. Hayley “got” exactly what a Senior session is with us, it’s her, in her element, being her. Nothing forced, nothing contrived. Just Hayley, being Hayley.

So here you go, this is Hayley…

I’m going to bed.  While I do that, you should read down a few posts and help us out with our search for the next canvas print.  Ok?  Ready…. break.

Greetings from Va Beach

photo

Adrienne and I are in Va Beach right now spending some time with family and friends and getting some relaxing (read: sunburns) in before things pick back up for us again next week and as we head into the home stretch of our townhouse construction and wedding planning. We’re trying to get to emails as quickly as possible, but won’t be able to really address anything until we’re back in TN tomorrow night.
Somewhat related, my parents threw us an incredible engagement party on Saturday night and it was so good to see some old friends and family! Fun was had by all and entirely too much food was cooked and eaten.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!  Now read one post down and help out us with the search for the next flippin’ sweet canvas for our wall!

Josh and Lanaé Need Friends

And they need your help.

We’re due for a few more sample canvases around here to add alongside our flippin’ sweet canvas of Josh and Lanaé from their engagement session

The more votes, the merrier. And to make it more interesting, we’ll randomly draw a name from those who’ve left their vote and send them a little sumthin’ sumthin’. So be sure to leave your name in the comments if you cast your vote!

So what do you think… the ring shot from Nathan and Sarah Beth’s Wedding… the shot of Elizabeth in the waterfall from her Trash the Dress session? Don’t like our picks, add your own. The power is YOURS!!!

bonus points if you can name the source of that little nugget of a quote…. should be pretty easy.

Go get your vote on,
chris.

Poll closed.  Thanks for voting!

It’s the little things…

… that make me happy. And the little things, sometimes the odd perspective that makes for what I think is a fun shot. Meghan rocked some Memphis flip flops for their engagement session and I knew I needed to get them in a shot somehow. I think this turned out pretty cool.
